You guys dont have to be rude, or say im full of it. I'm not. I have never owned fish before in my life. And being extremely rude doesn't help me at all. So take your rudeness and leave? :)

Tell ya what Summer, you post me a picture of this tank you say you have stocked with all these fish in a 10 gallon tank and I'll accept that. Now you do however young lady need to get some guidence on fish stocking. You really shouldn't do this. It's not good nor fair to stock fish of those amounts in a tank that small. It would be the same like taking you, your mom, dad, brother, sister ect...and putting you all to live in a 10 foot by 10 foot room, no closed doors for a bathroom or shower. Most of the people on here, regardless of how they said it to you, are correct. Your fish are dying NOT because of algea, though that last poster should get some spelling lessons, she is right the green is algea.

Your real problem of why they are dying is overstocking though. You probably have no biological filtration either and the chemistry of the water, because of the sheer number of fish must be septic by now. Summer, before you go and basically sentance the Angel's to death, why not just get yourself a nice good sized 55 gallon set up for those cichilds? It'd look much better, and it will fit on a four foot stand, and all you'd have to do is just do some rearranging in your place to fit it. Fish don't ask to be bought out caught, even though they aren't a higher life form as us, it's still not right to treat your pets this way.

Hi Summer,
Sorry to say but your tank is way overstocked
All your clown fish died because they are saltwaterfish, so please stay away from them unless you're planning on starting a saltwatertank
For the other fish you have you have to get at least 2 more tanks, one that is at least a 75 gallon for all your cichlids to house and one that is at least a 40 gallon for your goldfish, the mollies and the guppies would be just fine in the 10 gallon

The green stuff you're talking about is definately algae, to get rid of that you have to empty out the tank completely and scrub your tank down with hot water and an algae srabber

And you don't get any more fish unless you buy tanks at first!!!

These amount of angelfish will need another tank of at least 75 gallons!!!!!!!

Girl, can you even afford all that?

Recommendation:
Bring all the cichlids back to the store where you bought them, if you didn't buy them longer then 14 days ago, you can bring them back for storecredit, the same with your goldfish

Get a algae srabber, Aqua Safe, Aquarium Salt, new gravel, real plants

Clean out your tank, clean it (no soap please), fill up the tank with water, put Aqua Safe in as directed, exchange the cartridge from your filter, set the heater(which you have hopefully) to 78 degrees, let it sit for at least 6 hours and acclimate your mollies and guppies back into the tank

But please stop buying fish unless you're buying tanks at first
PLEASE, don't be so cruel to these fish

Hope that helps
Good luck

do you mean 10 gallon, or 100 gallon? if you really have a 10, then your tank is WAY overstock. as the tank is overcrowded, the fish will suffer from oxygen shortage and also the water will become polluted quickly. please don't get any more fish. you may want to get a separate tank for some of your fish to resolve the overcrowd problem as of now, or else the fish will just keep dying.

Also try to keep the weekly water changes to a 20%-25% to maintain water quality.

as i said, don't get anymore fish as of now. either get a larger tank (based on the number of fish you have, you will need at least a 75 gallon) or buy a separate tank for the goldfish.

also when you say Clown Fish, do you mean Clown Loach? Clown Fish is saltwater fish and cannot mix with freshwater fish. i think you need to find out more info before starting a tank.

your tank is way over crowed how is anybody that dumb to put 34 cichlids 15 mollies 10 goldfish and 2 guppy's in a 10 gallon tank the cichlid most of them will get half the size of your tank your tank is way way way way way way way way way way way way way way overcrowded if you want to keep all of your fish then get at least a 250 gallon tank those cichlids will be huge and the goldfish will be huge the mollies will get eaten the guppy's will get eaten and the clwonfish will either get eaten or get big all your fish are probably terribly sick and dying

The green stuff is probably algae.

Your fish are dying cos you have far too many fish and you are mixing coldwater and ftopical fish.

Before you buy any more fish suggest you either read a good book on keeping fish or have a long discussion with the aquarium shop staff.

Hi Summer, I'm not going to shout at you or even tell you that you are overstocked because no one is so dense they would put more volume of fish than water in a tank. Nice one-I almost fell for it as well & it's not even April 1st!!

umm ya im with the guy that says your a moron. 34 ciclids....i dont think so!!! Not only are ciclids very aggressive but they would eat or just kill for fun your goldfish...and you would have no space in your tank in the first place.

if i am reading right, your putting saltwater fish in with freshwater.

Thats only one problem, you tank is overstocked if i read right.

you have major problems. that many fish for a 10 gallon is unheard of. Thats why your fishes are dieing and ur tank is green...
