I don't know if you have to wait til a certain age or not. I got my ears pierced when I was 12 years old and I was glad I was old enough to make my own decision. I think when a really little girl has pierced ears, sometimes it looks like the parents are trying to make them look more grown up. I'm not saying that you're doing that, but that's just how I feel. Let babies be babies. Let her decide when to get her ears pierced when she's older.

i do no longer think of she is merely too youthful. At this age she will possibly preserve them with the aid of herself with a sprint help from you adult adult males. As on your question approximately what's a solid age, it is honestly based on your loved ones and your values. some human beings do no longer enable their daughters pierce their ears till they turn 13 or maybe 18. Others get them pierced while they're merely some months previous. attempt and determine WHY she needs her ears pierced, is it because of the fact mom reported she ought to or is there yet one extra reason? if plainly she rather does want them for herself, clarify that it may harm merely a sprint, even though it is going to likely be over quickly. I have been given my ears pierced while i became into merely some months previous. have been given a 2nd set of piercings while i became into approximately 13 or 14. wish this facilitates.

Personally I am going to wait until my daughter is old enough to ask for the piercings herself and old enough take care of the piercings on her own before she gets piercings. I feel that it is the child's choice. My cousin is 20 and has never had a piercing and doesn't want one. I wouldn't want to do something that my baby didn't want done. I know it seems cute, but how do you know it is what she wants? She may never want a piercing. Not only that, but I can't stand when my daughter needs shots, I don't want to cause unnecessary pain to my baby. I think that you should wait, but if you really think that you should do it then go to the doctor and ask them to do it. I know some doctors offices do piercings, but if they don't you can still ask them when it will be OK, and they can recommend a place for you to take your daughter.

my daughter is 8 months and I am going to wait until she is old enough to decide for herself.....I don't think it's right to put holes in someones body that can't even tell you if they want them......yes they can decide to close the piercings but you can still see that they were pierced........BUT... if you still decide to get her ears pierced do it while she is young........when she gets a little older she will discover her ears and will pull at the earrings........so I would pierce them now that way the ears are healed when she does get to that stage!

Don't listen to all this people. Two months is perfectly fine. Here were I live they actually do it at 2 months when she gets her first vaccines. In other countries thy do it the same day the baby is born, after all, don't they mutilate part of a boy's penis only a few hours after they're born??? The sooner you do it the better, b/c baby would hardly feel any pain this early. This time around I'm havind my 2nd birth center birth, and there they pierce the little girl's ears the very same day they're born

Whats a good age to start cutting on a little boys penis? I believe the answer to both are let the kids grow up and make the choice themselves. The only reason mothers start piercing thier little girls ears is for thier own pride and vanity. Gimme a break, u know u aren't doing it for ur baby girl, BUT FOR YOU!, and thats a shame. Just put the scew on ear decorations on her till she is old enough to make her own decisions.

When she is old enough to ask for it.
Babies who get their ears pierced as infants may have crooked holes as they get older.
Plus, it is HER body. Let HER decide if she wants holes in it.
I personally won't do anything "cosmetic" to my children, that includes circumcision.
I know a little baby girl who has her ears pierced and the diamonds get caught on EVERYTHING. And it hurts!

The jewelry store that I had my daughter's ears pierced said she had to be 2months before she could have her ears pierced. About a week or so after she turned 2months, we took her in to have them pierced. She cried maybe for 30 seconds after it was done, I think it was harder on me than her LOL.
I think the younger the better, my daughter is now almost 7 months and she does mess with them or nothing.

my mum got my ears pierced when i was 2 years old. it didn't hurt at all but i cried anyway >_<
i'd be careful about piercing infant ears. they might pull on them and hurt themselves. also, if you do get them pierced, get an appointment with your pediatrician to do it. it's a little more clean and also, it's technically considered a minor surgical procedure ^_^
