so how do you turn a furnace on low fan? if your not getting any airflow over the coils (froze up) how do you expect the temp to the room to get to 72? i would flip the fan switch to on
(still looking for the low button) turn the cool to off.. i have turned the heat on b4 to thaw a coil quicker.. only for less than few min. at a time. heat gun works wonders if you can get to the coils.. your still looking at a few hours to thaw a block.. if you switch fan to on.. check a register to see how much air is coming out.. then when it really comes out.. your ready

after checking the filter and cleaning the intake compartments . you keep your a/c on a contsistent temp like 72 -74. runing it below 69 with high humidity outside could cause it to freeze up again

You can run it on low fan & air only to melt any left over ice. After the ice has all melted You can run it normally
