Ok I went to my first appointment today and got a sonogram. They say I'm 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant I took the test like the week before Father's Day and found out I was pregnant. My LMP was May 8th according to that I'd be more like 9 weeks. I had what I thought was implantation bleeding on the 21st which would make me anywhere from 10 to 11 weeks. I'm thinking I have to be like 9 weeks. Cuz I don't think you can have symptoms of pregnancy like right after you conceive. Can you? According to the dr I would have found out I was pregnant when I was 2 weeks. I took a Clear Blue digital is it possible to find out that soon?

i'd go by the date the doctor gave you. The ultrasound gives the EDD by the size of your baby. So its usually more accurate

The Dr's will first go by the date of your LMP, until they do a sonogram. And then they will go by the sonogram "dates".
My second pregnancy I had implantation bleeding, which the Dr. said was a period, and they ended up dating me 3 weeks later than what I thought I should have been. To make a long story short, at (according to them) 38 weeks, I had a 9lb 14 oz. baby, when my other two kids were just 8 1/2 lbs. I swear to this day they were off on dates. Even a level II sono at 34 weeks said she was the size of a 37 week baby, but the Dr. stuck by her original thoughts.
It could be too how your Dr. is dating your pregnancy. Most Dr's go by the LMP, but your Dr. could be dating your pregnancy from the date of conception, which would mean, you did find out you were pregnant, when you were "two weeks' pregnant.
Ask your Dr. exactly how they're dating the pregnancy, and, from experience, unless a later sono changes your dates a couple of weeks, you'll probably be dated according to your Dr's dates the entire time, no matter how strongly you feel you're right.
Best wishes!

The spotting/bleeding on the 21st could have been from ovulation. This early of a sonogram usually is accurate within a few days so I'd go by that. Going by your LMP assumes a 28 day cycle and ovulation around day 14, which is not the case for every woman.

Dates given by ultra sound are always the dates the doctors go by. They say you are 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant; but if you add 2 weeks to that from the first day of your last period than you would be right; you would be 9 weeks and 4 days pregnant!

Good Luck with your pregnancy!

CONGRATULATIONS!

It is possible! Depending on your cycle, your due date might be wrong based on lmp. Mine was because I just came off birth control when I got pregnant. I'd go by what the ultrasound says when you have one. It was more accurate for me.

With a LMP of May 8th your due date is feb 12.

i just wouldn't worry about it if i were you. few women actually give birth on their due dates anyway. my baby was born a week early. my sister's youngest son was born a whole month late and her daughter 2 weeks early.

its hard to say, unless you know when you ovulated.

I would talk to your doctor again, you don't want them treating you as overdue when you are really not.

ultrasound is really not the most accurate way to judge due date anyway.

get a midwife
