Exposure therapy. You need to be exposed to them in order to overcome your fear. That doesn't mean touching them-start out with looking , then watching them in cages, then watching them in a natural environment. Take it slow. Good luck!

There's really not much to be afraid of. It's probably not so much fear, but just that you, like most people, don't like creepy crawly things crawling on you. You're really just "afraid" that the spider's going to start crawling on you. And there's really nothing wrong with that. They really don't want to crawl on you, they just want to find a quiet, dry, shady place where there's a lot of insects around for them to eat. And you're not on their menu!!! And there probably aren't a lot of insects inside your house, so you probably won't see a lot of them, at least no where near the amount you'd see outside.
You can overcome your "fear" of spiders by becoming more familiar with them. I don't mean by having to touch them or anything, but just by knowing that most spiders are harmless and are probably more frightened by you. There are a few spiders that are poisonous or have a nasty bite and those you probably should maintain a healthy respect for and try to avoid. But just knowing that the bad spiders are far more rare than the average spider you are going to encounter should help to lessen your fear of spiders in general.
Also know that spiders are very helpful in keeping insect pest populations down. If it weren't for spiders and other creatures, the other insects would devour everything!!! So, believe it or not, spiders are our friends!!! Just think Charlotte's Web or something, ya know? You could also get a book about spiders, or look up spiders on the internet to prove to yourself that most spiders are harmless, what the poisonous ones look like and how to avoid them, etc...., and how helpful they are in keeping pests under control.
Well, hope all this helps, :)

sadirony is right. Take slow, deep breaths and move away. Then force your self to look at them. Little by little you will get used to it. You have to face your fears in order to make them go away. So you have to look at one and stand firm. Good LUck.
