I was in my backyard and I caught a beetle. At first I thought it was a fire fly.. but then I realized it was a beetle and it had a bright green glow to it.. Well actually i thought it was a cell phone.. hehe. But if anyone has an idea of what kind of bug this is, or it's name, it would be appreciated. Thanks

Could be a buprestid. They are really pretty wood boring beetles. They stay dormant in wood for long periods of time. Imagine having a wooden house built in the south and all of the sudden a beetle bursts out of your wall.
