Sure, get to know them. Find out what their interests are, what they like and dont like Just get to know them, let them talk about themselves. MOst will if you open up and talk about you. I am a ppl person and I find that since I am so open, ppl will talkt o me about anything, even when they say I never talk to anyone, wahts this/ hahahahah Just show true concern, tell about you and ask about them SOme do this easier than others, but if you persist, it will finally come once some trust is built. Dont get personal at first, but just open up. Like you dont start saying things like do you believe in abortion?? YOu say things I love to play minature golf, do you?? What do you like? Just get them talking and you will both begin to feel comfrotable and that first time feeling of awkwardness will go. And rembmeer to PRay, God will help you if you ask.

people that u meet and u feel u have known them all ur life ,that is a person u are comfortable around, and they relate to u, they are on the same level as u, same views on diff things, it can be hard to find someone to relate to, but the best way is by meeting someone with the same opions and views as u

Talking and talking, it is the only way to get to know to each other, when you find something in common try to dig in, make her laugh, try to extend the subject and continue talking, as much as things you have in common you should feel more comfortable
Good luck on your first date!

Smile and ask them questions about themself
depending upon age you could ask about job/career, school, favorite movies, and good news they have heard... etc
pretty much anything to get them talking, people love to talk about themselves and share their oppinion
avoid questions starting with are... those are usually yes or no questions. Try to ask in depth ones starting with what, how, why etc.

Ask them about themselves. Smile. Give them time to ask you questions. Don't push it or be in a rush.
