Okay, so my husban is a forest firefighter which takes away from home a lot....which makes it kind of hard to get pregnant. While he is gone on fires, he is usually gone for 2 weeks. My question is, because we can't have sex during this time, and his sperm is built up, is this bad? He gets home tomorrow, and I got my first positive ovulation test today. What are the chances of conceiving and are his sperm going to be good? Kind of a funny question!

sounds like good chances! build up is good.. and you ovulate 12-24 hours after you get a positive on the OPK's

My husband was on a business trip. We had sex 1 time after he got home and it was several days before I ovulated. We decided to wait a couple of months before trying so used a condom while I ovulated. I still got pregnant though! Ha ha!Supposedly a man's sperm builds up killer sperm while away from you to kill off any sperm that might have managed to take it's place. It's an evolutionary thing. I think that sperm is super fertile! It was for us!
