If it's an older car it is possible for the gas to evaporate out of the tank, not likely but possible. Most newer cars the tank is sealed for emmisions so it shouldn't evaporate out. If the gas has set for 2 or 3 years it will be no good anyway, it will turn to varnish and gum up everything in your fuel system.

Yes, the good stuff evaporates and the bad stuff is left in your tank, dont dare start up your engine with the old fuel. You will be sorry, some older gas tanks have drain holes in the tank, other wise you will have to drop the tank and extract the fuel, or pump it out from the front before it gets to the engine.

Yes it can, Very little though to where you cant tell if you have the gas cap on and still in good functioning order. Remember to put some Stabile in your gas tank so that your fuel does not turn into turpentine.

Yes it can happen. ITs not good to leave gas in a vehicle like that. the gas can go "bad" and mess up your tank and other fuel items

Yes, it evaporates. In fact, gas station owners know what the percentage is of evaporation. I don't know the number but I do know it happens.

Usually gas stations will accept it, and also many businesses such as automotive repair shops will take the old gas/oil and use it in their oil tanks for heat.

Yea, and your car is designed to let gas vapors escape so to prevent explosions/ build up of pressure etc.
