The Bahamas are ISLANDS. The only way you're driving there is if you have a submarine-car

The insurance rules are quite strict, you must be 25 to drive a rental car. That is the insurance company's rules, not the car rental company's rules. you DO know that in The Bahamas, as in the United Kingdom, cars drive on the LEFT SIDE of the road, the opposite to what is done on the USA. . As a really NEW driver, you would be a accident looking for a place to happen. For get about it. Jim B Toronto.

Dear Mary,

yes you can drive to Miami, then take a Ferry/Ship to Nassau with the car, the crossing is about 85 miles. The Bahamas is a biggish place and has lots of cars already there, perhaps the owners also drove!

you can drive a boat. you can't drive a car.
there are flights about 100. roundtrip. you can also go by cruise ship. they have a cruise that leaves very early and comes home very late same day. or you can just go one way and come back a few days later. some of the cruises stay overnight a day or two on the ship.

Yes, just turn left at Miami and keep going until your car is completely submerged. You'll know you're heading the right direction.
