If they dont realize then that would be thier loss.
The Tigers have been around since 1901.
All with the same town and name.
They were Never The Orioles (yankees)
They were Never the Brewers (oriloes)
They were Never The Seattle Pilots (brewers)
They have never changed their home uniform, still the classic Old English "D" on white.
In fact, on opening day at Bennet Park (which later became Tiger Stadium), on April 25, 1901 (it was postponed by one day) they scored 12 runs in the bottom on the 9th to beat The Milwaukee Brewers (now the modern day Baltimore Orioles) to win 14-13.

To bad Tiger Stadium is not around and also that they along with Cleveland do play in the old AL east that would be so cool to see. Tiger stadium had the huge CF and the Right Field roof that hung over on to playing field. They had some great races with the Red Sox and the Orioles. I am not a big fan of the Tigers but I always thought that Tiger Stadium would have been a cool place to a game. I am from Denver so when I was growing up there was no MLB there so I had to ether read the papers or watch the game of the week, so I saw quite few games that were from Tiger stadium, Al Kaline, Mickey Lolich, Denny McClain, Wille Horton, Billy Martin ect... The 1972 eastern Div race that went down to the last couple days and the 5 game ALCS with the Oakland A's.

B) No. I nonetheless think of that the Tigers have too a lot skills. they have been suffering as of previous due, yet that sequence with the Indians could have incredibly sparked them. what number video games do you think of the Twins will win interior the sequence Vs the Tigers? E) will lose 3 out of four finally, it incredibly is what it may possibly come right down to. As you bear in mind, final 12 months the Twins and Sox performed sport 163 at Comiskey, and the Twins lost. The Twins conflict faraway from the Dome. The Tigers at domicile are 40 8-26 (0.33 terrific interior the league). The Twins away are 35-40. And with the outcomes, i think Detroit will rally for it particularly is city and win the AL substantial.

The neat thing about Fenway, Wrigley, Yankee Stadium, and yes the old Tiger stadium as with alot of the past stadiums that are now gone was that some of the greatest players ever to play, stood at that home plate, pitched off that mound, played on that very infield and outfield. Blasted homers and won championships in those places years ago. Baseball history happened right down there. It doesn't matter what the rest of the country thinks about the Tigers or Yankees or whomever. What matters is that you do. Their your team. You carry on the tradition, whatever team it is.

All teams have history...but, unfortunately, unless a team wins,
not much gets passed down through the generations. The Red Sox, Tigers, and White Sox have just as much hisory in the AL as the Yankess, only they didn't win, and didn't get the opportunity to appear in the World Series 39 times....

I agree with you a very historic team that does not get the recognition it deserves.
I believe you meant Hank Greenberg not Roger Horsnberg (Roger Hornsby) who played for the Cardinals.

The Tigers are a very historic team.
I wonder why noone mentions the Tigers staidum.
I guess thats because until now the Tigers were one of the worst teams in baseball.
