Because nor Switzerland, Portugal, Brazil and others are interfering with their countries.
Middle East is a mess. I say leave them alone. They have to solve their problems alone. There's no sense in adding more guns to the equation.
Thousands are going to die, maybe millions. But the problem will be solved eventually, even if the solution is the total extermination of a race. The foreign intervention guarantees the same millions of deaths (maybe more) plus a solution that nobody will accept. What's the sense of it?

If you think of the Anmerican Government and its actions over the last fifty years or so you may then understand why. Just some dates below
1953-Shah of Iran helped illigally into power by the CIA and the British to secure oil.
1970's-CIA helps to put Saddam Hussein into power in Iraq.
1980's-Reagan Government supplies weapons to Saddam to fight Iran as well as components for chemical weapons to fight the Kurds in northern Iraq
1980's-American's back the Taliban in Afghanistan to fight Russian occupation
As well the American Government supplies Israel with weapons that end up killing Palestinians and other Arabs as well.

If there is one country in the world that started out the 21st Century led by a War Mongerer it is the United States under George Walker Bush and his PNAC backers in his Administration.

The Swiss have all their money. Italy does have a terrorist problem. Brazil houses terrorists. Portugal is small potatoes.

The world is busting these people everyday. Until it happens in a large country, the press isn't interested.

We have been known to arm both sides in a conflict. - Iran/Iraq war.

We have sold chemical weapons to Iraq.

We were a part of the UN giving away Palestine to Israel.

We fund Israels occupation of Palestine.

The list goes on and on.

Simple, because they don't leave those countries alone. I notice you didn't mention the Danish which recently made huge riots or Belgium's who they recently shot down a tourist helicopter. We do not hear about all terrorist activity in the world, just the ones that effect us directly.
