Consult a locksmith. Find the one in your town that has been in business the longest. They most likely will have the hardware you're looking for.
Most of these guys have spare parts left over that haven't even been used. If they don't have what you need, they can order it, or at least point you in the right direction.
I wouldn't go to Lowe's or Home Depot...they'll be able to sell you locks, but the employees there probably aren't licensed lock technicians that really know about re-keying locks and installing them properly.

I'm not sure what you mean by "face plates". You may mean the round "rose" that is against the door face itself, or you might mean the lock's "backset", which is the part with the bolt in it that latches the door.
In either case, it is easier for you to replace the entire lock than to try to find just the handles. It will also be less expensive to do so, as special ordering a handle will cost as much or more than the entire lockset.
Try shopping at a locally owned lumberyard or hardware store, rather than Lowe's or Home Depot!
