I have so many. I was blessed to have a wonderful childhood and amazing parents.
One of my fondest memories is sitting on my grandparents drive way in the Mojave desert on a hot summer night with my dad churning homemade ice cream and sitting in a old tin tub full of water with my family all around as the sun was setting.

Well I'm a grandfather and let me think a minute, I was born before: Television,Penicillin,Polio shots, frozen foods, Xerox, contact lens, The Pill. There were no: credit cards, laser beams or ball point pens. Man had not invented: Panty hose, air conditioners, dish washers, clothes dryers, and clothes were hung out to dry in the fresh air and man hadn't yet walked on the moon. Grandmother and I got married first...and then lived together. Every family had a father and a mother. We were before gay-rights,computer dating, duals careers, daycare centers, and group therapy. Our lives were governed by the Ten Commandments, good judgment, and good old common sense. We were taught to know the difference between right and wrong, and to stand up and take responsibility for our actions. Serving your country was a privilege; living in this country was a bigger privilege. Draft dodgers were people who closed their front doors when the evening breeze started. Time sharing meant time the family spent together in the evening and the weekends-not purchasing condominiums. Oh! we never heard of FM radio, tape decks,CDs,electric typewriters, yogurt,or guys wearing earrings.

My favorite thing about being little was having the ability to be super imaginative. There was this little room under the staircase, and the first time I remember going into it myself I though I had found some secret, amazing place. I could go in and out of there for hours and stay entertained, as I could in other places.

I had this really tall bed, and I was always worried that there was monster under the bed, so I would run from the door way and Jump to get up on the bed and then my Poppa would tuck me in and he always scratched my back before I went to sleep.

My best memories of being a kid were waking up early (very early) on Christmas morning and finding a big butt load of presents under the tree to tear into with my brother... ah, those were the days!!!

When my family was in Germany I was 2yrs old and we left when I was 5yrs old, but I definitely remember one of those organ grinder guys with the monkeys that sent out the monkey to collect people's tips. The monkey jumped right into my stroller and scared the bejesus out of me.

My fourth birthday. My family gave me a surprise party and lots of cool toys and the day was all about me... it is my earliest memory from childhood and it was a very happy one.
