HELP ME! problem with neighbor...?

I live in a neighborhood that has a lot of big trees. The man in the house behind us has an apparent "dislike" of birds and has no trees in his yard, but bird deterrants everywhere (plastic owls, big yellow balls that look like eyes, mylar strips...)

My master bedroom (my room) sits fairly close to this neighboors rock wall, where he has a large metal shed. Several times a day he walks outside and with a PVC pipe beats the hell out of the shed to scare the birds out of MY yard and our other neighbors yard and trees. He even does it at dawn and dusk, then the birds roost.

I have asked him very nicely to stop and suggested that I don't think there's much to do about the birds and so far, it doesn't seem his method is effective. Short of involving the police, any ideas???

How do people have time to do things like this?! He needs to get a new hobby. Hmmmm....what to do.....I think I would have to call the police & at least ASK them what to do. He is clearly disturbing the public by banging on the building like that. So it is a punishable offense. Maybe the police could give him a warning. That might mean more to him coming from the police rather than a neighbor. I hope for your sake it's resolved soon!

Tell the Police or maybe try to make him leave. The whole neighborhood shouldn't have to pay because he hates birds.

Dont involve the police, call the city, or call the local police and ask for advice.

Love thy neighbor as thyself. Because he is unhappy is no reason to follow his lead. Kill him with kindness. He won't know how to respond.
