Take classes, be in school plays. go to craigslist and send a resume and headshot to all parts that you might be good for. Find a wanna be writer director and work with them on your own productions.
Join your community or local childrens theater. Check out the local community colleges too. They usually have plays you can get involved in.

It was just a typo. Don't beat yourself up. You get started by taking classes and doing plays. If you're talking about being famous at it, that's one long hard road. If you want to do it because you want to do it then great. As you learn more and get better at it you'll learn what to do next.

You start out possibly in community theater and local commercials. You will eventually have to branch out to where there are studios (LA). You will then have to get an agent, go to a million auditions, and keep it up until something happens.
