I have a digital clock that was made in 1991 and it keeps terrible time. In two weeks it will be at least 10 minutes fast. Is there anything I can do to make it keep better time other than reset it every couple of days?

I have a digital clock that was made in 1991 and it keeps terrible time. In two weeks it will be at least 10 minutes fast. I don't want to get rid of it because its a Garfield collectors clock and I've had it since I was 2. Is there anything I can do to make it keep better time other than reset it every couple of days?

You can take the clock to a watch repair shop and have them adjust the oscillator to the proper frequency. The oscillator will put out a frequency that is divided many times to get to a pulse every second. If the frequency is off, then the clock will either run slow or fast. good luck.

It's the programming that's off. It's not worth wasting your time or your money to try to fix it (even if it can be fixed). Get a new digital clock. They're relatively cheap.
