No. Do you even know that the word hypocritical means? Libby was convicted of a crime in a court of law and was sentenced. Jefferson faces trial and if convicted will also be sentenced. What part of this don't you understand?

Well in reality, does it matter? I mean it seems no matter who runs, and how big of margin they win by someone, somewhere will come up with something illegal, questionable, and immoral that they have done.
So to sit and list who has done what to whom or why they did it, is useless.
I don't know if we can truly have a HONEST, MORAL individual in the Presidency - seems just as soon as we think we are as close as we can get, all this stuff surfaces. They do their job and still can't please anyone, so maybe we should do this.
We all vote for who we want, they keep it a secret, we never see who it is, we just read what decisions they make, and we get to wonder for 4 years who it is that did all those things wrong?
At least this way people wouldn't have a way to bash anyone and everyone who has ever done anything wrong, not that I am for them doing wrong, but it seems the general public is getting as bad as the candidates themselves with the pointing fingers and digging up old dirt.
Just my humble opinion

No, it's neither hypocritical nor dumb.
Jefferson was indicted on 16 counts last month, and the Democratic leadership in Congress is currently holding proceedings to determine if Jefferson should be expelled regardless of how the trial turns out.
Libby was convicted. Jefferson hasn't gone to trial yet.
So, what's hypocritical about blaming someone who was convicted, while holding the trial for the person not yet convicted?

Scooter Libby was a victim of circumstance and he got sucked into a political shredder. William cold cash Jefferson can be likened to Duke Cunningham who is now serving time is prison. Which is where I expect cold cash to be soon.

The difference is Libby was pardoned, and Jefferson already had more than his 15 minutes of fame over this. Why do so many people who are on one political side ignore facts when asking stupid questions like this?

Both parties have had their bad behavior--but does that mean no one should say anything about it? Libby did something unlawful, was caught, it was in the news, blah blah blah. Clinton got caught having sexual affair, was caught, it was in the news, blah, blah, blah. I don't see how either party's crimes get preferential treatment.

I bet Slick Willie is wishing he could pardon William Jefferson.
I'm curious why Jefferson would cry racism... Aren't blacks allowed to have freezers in their homes? (Sad joke...)
But really??

Jefferson should be tried.
Clinton is as crooked and paid for as GW Bush.
Our government has successfully pitted us against each other so we don't pay close enough attention to their crimes against the constitution and the citizens in their move for the lead in economic globalization!!
