have you ever taken a break and came back more refreshed.. able to get more done.
or have you ever worked so hard that it got to the point that you felt like you were banging your head against a wall and couldn't be effective with out a break?
I'm not saying they are to this point.. but if it helps end this crap and get our boys home faster over all then I'm for it..
I hope this is the case.. but I'm not optimistic.

I'm fine because I look at the big picture. These guys are going to work through July, let the surge do it's work, evaluate the situation in their country, and decide in september what's the best course to take.
And vacation isn't the right word. They're not going to be lounging in the Green Zone and doing nothing, they're going to seperately evaluate the progress and detriments in Iraq during August and try to find resolutions to bring to the debate table. It's the same reason the congress and senate don't work on the hill year round.

SINCE its their country I would offer that they can do as they wish. No different than what our congress does.
Oh and if our soldiers realy wanted to get out of Iraq, they could. Just lay down arms. Bush can't make them fight. Not all 160,000 he can't.
That's about the only way this so-called war, but really an 'occupation' will end.

Isn't the US Congress also going on vacation for the month of August.
I guess the only issue is that Iraq is behind on their homework, and should stay to finish it up rather than taking recess.

Better than Bush going on a 2 month fishing trip will sending our soldiers to fight for him and getting killed and wounded.

They're taking August off? With the benchmark deadline being September? Is this going to be a built-in excuse when they're not met?

I think it's a little off that the Iraqi Government - whose reprentatives labor under constant threat of assassination - catch so much flack for 'not making progress,' while our own Congress also manages little or no progress, even though it's members are relatively safe...

Why shouldn't they have vacation time? The last time I checked our elected morons on Captial Hill have vacations every few months.
