I am a democratic, but it doesn't matter what side of the mall you are on. Won't you help Al Gore save our planet? He is leading the charge against people who hate our planet. It is called globbal warming and we need to cool it down. I changed all our lite bulbs and I don't drive any more. If I need a lift to the mall or something I just ask my dad. He's totally cool with it.

How does your dad get you to the mall? By bike? Teleportation? How much other energy do you waste? Do you blow dry your hair? Use a curling or flattening iron? how much TV do you watch? How many times a week do you recharge your phone? How many movies/ TV shows do you watch, as you use a massive amount of energy to produce? How many tree killing magazines do you read?

Keep in mind that in order to produce ethanol we need corn. The increased demand then increases the price we pay for food. Are you willing to pay more for food in order for someone else to drive a energy guzzling e85 vehicle?

Do you understand that Al GOre's plan is to use "carbon credits" to curtail usage.... This is a plan where the rich are alowed to rape the earth by purchasing "carbon credits".

You need to wake up and realize AL Gore is not the answer.

Typical conservative that does not get it. First of all, you are to be commended for your low carbon foot print. If everyone made similar prudent, rather than wasteful choices, half the problem would be solved. But there's the thing - Choices and balance. Those leading the fight, those putting out the message, those operating businesses that employ people are not expected to have the same carbon footprint of an individual, just a lower carbon footprint than in the past. No one is advocating a stop to commerce because of a warming planet (but with the histrionics coming from the right one might think otherwise). A speech involving private jets, limos and entourages that lowers the carbon footprint of 50,000 people through information and action is a pretty good trade. Conservatives know this. But they love to spew irrational fallacies whenever it suites their purpose because the stupid people believe it and the smart ones are winking at each other. How else to explain Tea PArties where hard working middle class Americans, Already enjoying the lowest federal tax rates of their lifetime and not facing any increases are enlisted to protest taxes on behalf of the rich who are facing modest increases? And at the same time they pine for that 'Solid Republican American Era' of the 1950's when the top tax rate was over 90%. Today it is 35%

Okay so let me see if I got this right.

You won't drive yourself to the mall, but you will ask someone else to take you back and forth. Isn't that breaking even?

Al Gore's views on Global warming is that it's man made. Global Warming is indeed real, but it is not caused by Man; its just a natural cycle.

So, no. I will not help Al Gore save our planet. I think hes accomplished so much already by costing us millions on recounts and claiming to invent the internet.

Well, darn . No, I wouldn't "follow Al Gore" anywhere. Some of us have lives that take us a little further than the local mall and Daddy just can't take us because he's working too. Sorry, I don't mean to make fun of you, it's great that you are aware of the environment and doing your part. However, you should do it because you want too, and not use Gore as a role model. He isn't exactly doing his part! Thanks

I have helped him for ten years try to get people to listen to the truths he has spoken about for twice that long.

I will continue to help him and I am very glad that you wrote and asked others to help you do the same.

I am happy that there are young people like you that are concerned enough to post your request and brave enough to not be upset about all of the idiot feedback you'll get from people with their heads in the sand about global warming you will get on this forum. Don't be upset by it. You are right and smart. They are wrong and stupid.

Fear not, us old liberals are trying hard to save the planet for you. We will do our best. In the mean time until we get the big things passed like carbon sequestration that works, increased CAFE standards, industrial emmisions reductions and an alternative energy policy that is sustainable in place there are things you can do to reduce your own carbon footprint.

Turn off the A/C and buy fans. You'll be amazed how effective they are at keeping you cool. Our grandparents lived without A/C and they are no worse for the wear. Plus you'll save a lot of money you can spend on better stuff.

Go shopping once a week instead of 3-4 times. You save money on gas and emit less pollutants.

Replace all of your light bulbs with the new really bright low wattage ones, they are much better than they used to be. You'll save money too, quite a bit in fact.

Buy fresh locally produced food at farmers markets, it costs less to produce and ship across the country then factory farmed products and since it doesn't travel so far to get to your supermarket. Less fuel needs to be burned to get it to you you. It also is better for you and tastes better.

If millions of Americans do these thing it matters, big time. If less electricity needed, less coal needs to be burned to make it and less greenhouse gases are put into thr atmosphere.

Don't give up, you are great for writing this. I hope all of your friends are as smart and cool as you. It is young people like you that can change the world and save our planet.

Thanks for one of the best posts I've ever seen on Yahoo Answers.

No former or current Vice-President is going to save this or any other planet.
There may be no real way of cooling any thing down, and global carbon dioxide and monoxide emissions are making things to hectic and causing to much climate change.
The poles are going to melt more, water levels are going to continue to rise, and we might start living in our bathing suits more and more.

I've change to compact fluorescent bulbs. Even installed a solar system in my home. But, I don't do it for Al Gore's sake, I do it for myself. He has had little to do with any of my decisions. Ask him just how much solar power he has installed in his home. Or how many compact flourecent bulbs he has change. He might look at you a little funny.

No.
You are very gullible.
But I commend you for doing something yourself.
At least you don't ride in limos and fly in Private Planes like the Global Warming Hoax People do.
They just make fools out of gullible people, and they get Richer.
