What is the psychological problem?
Stuff like Bi-Polar & Skitzo's need medication ... PERIOD.
Other psychological problems like phobea's and addictions can be overcome with common sense and some aids.

I definitely think that is something that you can overcome. A lot goes into that, depending on how extensive the issue is. But at a certain degree it is possible.
I think family support, or just support in general with friends or whom ever plays a great role. Self assurance is a big key in breaking through the realm of the problem. Also being occupied not having to think about the inevitable every second helps too.

Not necessarily, though I would say in most cases yes, unfortunately the only way to tell which category you fall into is to ask trusted people in your life. My sister has benefited from professional help and could not have done it on her own. I think if you are psychologically damaged to the point where you cannot remember your own behaviours, or see through your own emotions to somekind of factually based reality you need outside help. Everyone is subjective, but if you're not grounded and may hurt yourself or others then you cannot rely on understanding friends, this would be unfair to them and probably not that helpful, of course the other key is finding the right professional.

I'm not so sure about this one. I myself have been diagnosed with more crap than I could list on here. I am also a grad student in psychology. I found it more difficult and more despairing to try to fix myself alone. I thought I'd be able to considering my chosen profession, but I was wrong. I'm sure they're are people out there that can do it and more power to them, I think it just depends on each individual person.

If they live in an extremely supportive atmosphere, & have a very good family & friends.
The main reason psychological problems arise usually involve insecurity, disbelief, hopelessness, low-esteem, disregard for moral or ethnic values. & I guess most importantly living with the fear that there is no one out there that really cares. Which is why it is important for everyone to stand by them & help them out.

It has more to do with your inability to tell another human being the truth about you, which you won't even admit to yourself in the first place. And you already know this.
