it is my first time to camp and i would prefer the beach areas

One of the best campgrounds I've ever stayed at was Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. You can see photos of the park by accessing the arial photos and panorama images from the right side of the webpage listed below:

You camp in a meadow but there are hiking trails through the redwood forests that go to the beach. Long, beautiful beach to walk on with very few people. Lots of Roosevelt elk...watch out if you go in Sept. as that's the rutting season. (Too cold to swim in northern CA beaches by the way; if you want to swim you'll have to go south).

Ferndale CA. it is about 5 miles from the beach. It is the westernmost town in the united states. it has about 1,400 people, so it is a small community. There are a lot of little shops, and great ocean views. I recommend it

you could samuel taylor park. its just north of san francisco with forest feel and only about 5-10 minutes from beaches and the ocean. also point reyes and the lighthouse is near by. plus if u like the city is near you so you can pop over there fro a couple of hours. also yu could head north to bodega bay. theres lots of places up that way to. hope it helps. In bodega we like the bodega dunes.

I know you said beach, but Lake Tahoe is spectacular. You can camp right along the lake! So beautiful
