i absolutely could not care less about these people. if i'm not mistaken, the woman is one of the spice girls, one of the crappiest creations in the history of humanity, and the man is a pro soccer player, who i'm told isnt the best player and is past his prime.

do americans really care about pro soccer that much? here in the USA, i probably know 1 person out of 25 that even cares about it, and i bet even fewer people care about the spice girls..

WHY are these people in the news? i'm sick of hearing about them. can we send them back where they came from?

I love soccer, and I'm glad Beckham will play for a US team. I really think he can help fuel US interest in the sport. But yesterday morning CNN was treating his arrival as the second coming of Christ. They even asked the question: "Will the Beckhams be able to integrate into LA culture?"

Of course they will, and who cares????? They have money and popularity, they will do fine in LA. This is ridiculous news coverage, almost as bad as Paris in prison.

I care only because of Beckham... not a big fan of the Spice Girls. MLS is like NFL Europe or AAA Baseball. Even if Beckham is past his prime he's a better player than most if not all MLS players and probably will be until he's 50. His celebrity status sells tickets to soccer stadiums and hopefully will get more Americans interested in soccer and with more youths in soccer the talent pool gets bigger and we will do better in the world cup!

The paparazzi is hungry for shots. Most A-list stars have body guards and state of the art security and have no wish to be photographed, and if they are... they will sue for invasion of privacy.

Then you have Paris, Nicole, Jessica Simpson, who can't get in front of the cameras enough. Now toss in the Beckhams and the Longoria/Parker wedding.... all B and C players in the Hollywood set.

Since this is all the media can get shots of, we are forced to hear and see them constantly. Puffy Spice ,or whatever the hell her name is, was second hand news in the early 90's... so who wants a rerun of that????

We used to tax the rich at 70% to 90% for most of the last century. It worked great. Now we tax them at about 35%. Where is all that prosperity today that they promised would happen if we cut taxes for the rich? Also there are plenty of countries that have unregulated capitalism. Nearly every third world country on Earth has the economic system that conservatives advocate - no minimum wage, low taxes for the rich, few worker's rights, etc. Mexico is a good example of what happens when the economic policies that conservatives advocate for are put into place.

Abso-freakin-lutely I am !!
Unfortunately some major corporations have invested some big time bucks in these Britt's and they want to inundate us with press hoping and praying we give a rats a*s about their bad investment.
NBC gave her a reality show and a Soccer Team gave him a Multimillion dollar contract. I mean really what were they thinking a multimillion dollar contract for a soccer player in America!
Now that is a sh*tty investment right there!!

That's why we sicked Crazy Tom Cruise on them hoping he would chase them away, it could still work if he keeps the Scientology recruiting rants up!!

Did the paparazzi get tired of Paris and Britney? I'm so sick of hearing how many millions he's making. To be honest, I heard him speak for the first time yesterday, and I couldn't stop laughing. Beautiful, masculine face, but a voice like a girl. His wife looks scary enough with all the plastic surgery and anorexia she's so proud of. Why do we treat no talent celebrities like royalty?
