I just bought a used 1994 3000gt that need a clutch at a car dealership, but they said they were going to fix the clutch if i bought it. I waited a week and the car was fixed, i started it up and the car kept on dying every time i tryied to start it up in neutral, then about 9 starts later, it did not die, i put it into gear, and it died about 5 more times, i finally got it going, i drove it maybe 2 1/2 miles on a highway, (I was not riding the clutch )and it smelt liked that the clutch was burning, I pulled over right away and there was smoke coming from the clutch area, and their mechanic drove it about 200 feet to their lot. Was it maybe that they did not install it right in the first place.

Thanks

If I had just paid for a car, and it died on my so many times, I would be wanting my money back. They have to fix the car, I believe. You didn't mention what the dealer said about it. Did they offer to fix the car at their cost? If not, then get a lawyer and call the BBB and file a complaint against them. Don't hesitate either, do it today, if they gave you any problems about repairing it. good luck.

Pretty obvious the dealer either didn't do it or did it incorrectly. If it kept dying why did you even try and drive it off the lot?
