Quite possible. The last traffic light on Interstate 90 was retired "way back" in 1991. Wallace, Idaho, had the road go right through town, and a stop light was part of the road. The road-builders finally finished the path around the two to avoid the historic downtown district, and the Interstate was fully light-less.
