It is not going to physically damage the computer, but it could cause some potential software errors due to the leftovers in the registry.

It won't hurt your PC at all.
However, it may leave a lot of clutter in your registry which will help to slow down your computer.
If you don't have a program like Registry Mechanic, give this FREE program a shot. It works pretty well to clean up registry entries that are no longer needed.

no it shouldn't,but it may leave behind alot of files that wouldn't uninstall,and you may have to do a disk clean up,to free up the space left behind after an uninstall.
