I have been told I can just test for it. I have been an Electrician for near 10 years. But none of the time counts because I was never under a Master Electrician. I have done much work for Ford, Chrysler, GM, and Harley-Davidson. Any input would be helpful.

I suggest you contact the IBEW .
As you did not indicate you went through an apprentice ship program , the work at those companies may have been limited to specialty areas and not comprehensive like the program
(which usually requires 8000 hrs OJT and the related bookwork / classes for 4 years ) .

Check with your state. Usually you have to have proof of working under a master electrician or a company that employed a master electrician as an apprentice.

there must be a recognised tradesmen body for electricians around about where you are try and locate please thank you
