I have no problem at all with rich people. I just have a problem with the ever growing gap between the rich and the poor. But other than the money thing which most people need to quit spending so much energy on, we must implement a 3 party system. We have to unite and tell the politicians that we have elected that we have given them their opportunity and they have failed us. We are tired of their undertable politics and their greased palms. The 2 big parties are working together to keep each other in power and not let a 3rd party take control. Know it.

Poor people cannot afford to run. Never have been able to, for that matter.

That said, I agree. It sucks. The government is full of self-serving, corrupt, lying idiots. Both parties. That said, I do like ONE aspect of our current system. WE have the power to fix it. The problem is that too many people are attached to illogically drawn-up parties, and too many incumbents get voted in. Over 90% of all Senators and Congressmen get re-elected every election. So if you have more than a 90% chance of keeping your job, then what is your motivation to be a better leader? If more people started voting with their heads and not their hearts, the system would fix itself.

p.s. Truman and Carter were poor men at one time... but not when they ran for President. So one of the above comments is quite inaccurate.

no longer something you reported unavoidably ability issues won't get extra helpful, in the event that they do no longer it is going to likely be for different motives. In 1946 the nationwide debt replaced right into a much better fraction of GDP and the U.S. replaced into attempting to take over Europe and the chilly conflict replaced into beginning up and the government then because it continually does favored the wealthy. in spite of the undeniable fact that the subsequent 2 an prolonged time actual wages doubled and the financial gadget had the final 2 an prolonged time in our historic past.

I agree with you. I used to call people that say the middle class is disappearing crazy, but It's true, our government is helping the rich people get richer and the poor people get poorer.

unfortunately it's not We the people anymore, and hasn't been for a long time, (not during my lifetime at least) It's we the corporations.

when you say your unhappy the political system you are saying that you are unhappy with yourself and all other legal US citzens that are above the age of 18. Its WE THE PEOPLE....not those politicians..........We need to stand up and take back our government by voting!!!! I'm not going to tell anyone how to vote, I beg you all to sit down and listen to each and every candidate and really look at what they are saying....see if it matches your own views and what your heart tells you is right for you and your family and what you think is right for this country.

We need someone that will stop letting the rich get richer and the poor get poorer...someone that represents WE THE PEOPLE.

I will now step down from my soap box.

Thanks!

Actually I am very pleased with our political system. I am not pleased, however, with some of the people at the top and have no intention of changing that opinion. Those who want change should stop whining on an Internet board and DO something.

How can any American be happy about the fact that you conscientiously pay your taxes to cover the expenses of governing the country. But find that the profiteers in DC are squandering and giving billions away to every special interest and nonsense scheme they can find. Let alone granting themselves raises in the thousands and free medical care, all on your dime.
