how do i replace a thermostat for a 1998 subaru forester?

THE THERMOSTAT IS LOCATED UNDER THE VEHICLE NEAR THE OIL PAN ASSEMBLY AND IS INSIDE THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE LOWER RADIATOR HOSE.

THIS JOB WILL REQUIRE TIME AND A LOT OF PATIENCE.

REMEMBER TO REPLACE THE GASKET AS WELL AND REFILL WITH NEW ANTIFREEZE.

pick up a "chilton guide" at the parts store for you car( cheaper) or a service manual from the dealer (more expensive) and follow the step by step directions
