I dont think we should make them slaves like we did the blacks but they should be punished in some way for breaking our laws. I honestly think many of them would even like the idea.

when i say indentured I mean they should be considered your property but only for a period of time and during that time they are also your responsibility. Basically slavery minus the selling off of children and raping the women but besides that anything goes! I personally think it would be neat and also we would have less disgust for our illegal population because they would be like our toys or pets.

Most of them are practically indentured servants already, so this really isn't necessary. In any case, if we did this, then they wouldn't be illegal anymore, eh? So essentially your plan is to just make them legal. I, personally, don't have a problem with that, but a lot of people do!

Illegal, says it all. we are creating a bigger problem down the road, if they are granted amnesty, any kind of legal admission, they will become quite a political presence in the future. What will happen when they decide to organize, like labor unions ? They could drive labor costs sky high , if they have the political clout to pressure employers and politicians. This will make it extremely difficult for our current labor force. They will scream, they are being discriminated, and forced into menial labor positions. Who was doing, "work Americans won't do" before they came to the USA. Many American Corporations are operating plants in South America, will they let under priveges Gringos come there to work, and send money back to the USA?

Amazing idea I myself have wondered the same thing. It s already done illegally so why not make it legal give them free entry and make them work for a few years, maybe not slavery but more of an indentured servant like you said.

America does have indentured survants, but we call them California farm workers.
