Michael is a typical news caster and is prone to exaggerate about everything. He has no real intel on the matter. On his part it's only a guess. I think I'll believe the man with all of the intel on the matter.

Read today's article about Chertoff. He says they are not as strong as they were in 2001. Whether or not he actually believes this or was coerced into saying it, I don't know. But now he says he was misunderstood. The CIA does in fact claim them to be as strong as they were in 2001 though. In fact they are growing extremely fast in the Afghan/Pakistan border area now that Pakistan has given up control of that area to tribal leader. Let's hear it again about how the war in Iraq is part of the War on Terror. That is the biggest pack of lies I have ever heard in my life.

If Chertoff continues with this contradiction business he will have to find himself another job to mess up. Bush has his head so far up Cheney's bunghole he's looking through his nose and blowing it too. Neither individual has any crediblity and should be ignored at all times and written off as fools and scoundrels

Who knows? I don't have the intelligence reports they do.
Bush is a chronic liar and Chertoff is his lapdog. I tend to agree with neither. I live a few miles from a chemical plant that is enjoying weaker EPA standards. I'm concerned about cancer, not "terrists".

Most likely a Whitehouse staffer is looking for Chertoff's replacement right now.

They're both right. The heirarchical structure of Al Qaeda has been shattered and shows no signs of recovery, but, when you include 'self starters' and 'franchises' - other groups that have taken up the Al Qaeda banner, and radicalized individuals who take it up on thier own initiative - they have more members, more globally distributed than before.
