I was supposed to receive a $50 rebate. It's months already and it never came. Whenever I call, there is no way to speak to a representative.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and they just emailed me saying that the company is not responding to them and they are closing the case.
What can I do now? Small claims court? Any ideas?
Please help!!! Thanks so much!

you could try going back to the retail store you made a purchase from - most rebates operate on the fact that people forget or don't bother to mail them in. Write a registered letter.

The best thing to do is resend the rebate to the company. I hope you kept copies of the original forms!. Explain in writing that you never received the rebate and ask for it to be resent.
Other than that, you can try going to the store where you bought the item and asking them for help, although they will probably tell you to contact the company itself for a rebate.
Other than that, it's probably not worth pursuing the $50.00 if the Better Business Bureau has closed the complaint.
You can also try to contact the local newspaper where the company does it's business or manufactures its goods and put an article in the newspaper about the company's non-response to a consumer.

The trouble it takes to file papers and put in the time it takes to press a case in small claims court probably isn't worth the 50 bucks. If the company isn't responding to you OR the Better Business Bureau, it's a pretty good bet you're not going to get the rebate.
