I am going to throw my prediction for '08 out now, and I am interested to hear everyone else's. I firmly believe that either Obama or Clinton will end up representing the Democratic party in the election (despite the fact that Edwards probably has the best chance of actually winning outside designated Blue Zones).

I believe either one will lead in the polls all the way to election day, simply because it's politically correct to say you're voting for them. I think a lot of people might actually believe they're going to vote for them as they head for the booths. But can anyone else honestly believe that most of America won't collectively 'flinch' at the last minute? I think Democrats are banking on Bush hatred to carry them into the White House, forgetting how polarizing their own candidates are. I believe people would rather vote for a Republican they know little about than a Democrat they have a knee-jerk reaction to. Anyone else have any predictions?

I agree to a point. The hatred of Bush almost cost the GOP the election in '04 so I think it bolstered their faith in using that tactic. The debates and interviews I see with the Dem candidates really hold no substance. i would almost predict a Hillary dance party or Obama Beach party to be announced to try and gain the college vote. The Dems are losing serious ground there as well. how anybody can run on a platform of HIGHER taxes just baffels me.

When we start hearing from the republicans en-force, I think will see a change in the tide and more suport for the GOP will be evident.

if this were true then why do you suppose that the republicans are so worried about the election now that they are doing all they can to distance themselves from the president and the iraq war issue to the point that they do not want to have Bush get out and do fund raising for them, that seems to say the facts

i don't look after the two of them, yet Hillary is okay..in basic terms ok..and that i think that she is the lesser of the two evils. edit: i'd particularly not have the two, yet once I had to decide for, it would be Hillary. besides that i'm self sufficient and that i do consider the Democrats on some issues, not many stuff, yet there are some. I frequently vote for them in community elections in elementary terms nevertheless.

On contrar, my friend. It is the ideology of the neocon run GOP that will drive many Republicans and Independants toward the Democratic candidates.
