... for health insurance.

And, while you pay for health insurance, other people can wait until they are very very very sick to buy it for the same price.

Is it fair to put healthy young people into a position of not being able to afford insurance? (That's why a lot of young people don't bother to buy insurance.)

Does this give you confidence in Dems?

The extra healthy 25 year old pays $9800 per year for just himself.

The older person pays the same $9800 per year for just himself.

But, if you want, you can leech off of others by not buying any insurance until you are deathly sick. Free lunch. Right?

If both the 25 year old and the 55 year old are working then they would both be paying for their health insurance. You really do not get how the public option would work do you? And if you're worried about different rates what do you think you get now? If you are using an employer supplied health care plan (where you have no choices) that 25 year old would be paying exactly the same rates as the 55 year old, there is no difference.

So what you saying is you'd rather put the burden on the employer to provide the healthcare? But if you're unlucky and don't work for an employer that provides healthcare coverage your screwed. You do realize since you said that you are self-employed, the premium for individual health coverage is almost impossible to afford for a family who makes say less than $50k a year.

So someone who has diabetes or predispoisition to get diabetes can't even get coverage, well that's just too dam bad, that's what your saying?

Bottom line, our healthcare system is broken and becoming more broken with each passing year. The people who have coverage will ulitmately pay in premiums, deductibles and the like because people who cannot afford it or don't have it will put the outlying costs on the ones who do. Wake up and smell the healthcare!

Um, not to burst your bubble, but that's how private insurance works as well. It's called pooling. Everyone pays the same amount while maybe 10 to 15% use the majority of the benefits.

That's the disadvantage to buying into a group policy. He could always buy individual insurance. Do us all a favor and take a class in statistics.

i see you chose to ignore the dumping of hospital patients, sick patients dying in the emergency room waiting for a doctor, or the fact 40% of Americans cannot afford health insurance.

And just exactly how is this the Dems fault?

Oh I know its their fault because they didn't kill Newt and the other jackass' s that stopped our healthcare program when hillary first wanted to get it going
