Place a few pie pans around and keep them half filled with
beer. Be sure to dump them out every morning. If you can
put the pans tops even with the ground it will make it easier
to get inside. Be sure to place some around your tomato's.

Bury beer traps into the lawn. Get empty family sized ice cream cartons, clean them and bury them up to the rim in the edge of the lawn.
Cut a hole about an inch round in the lid. Pour some beer into the carton - do not fill it.
Put the lid on - go to bed. In the morning you should find that the snails and slugs had a party and are so drunk that they have drowned in the remains of the beer.
Mind if you think this too cruel you have to go out into the garden when it is dark armed with a bucket with an inch of common salt in the bottom, a torch and a pair of gloves.
Turn the torch on, find the snails/slugs pick them up and toss into the bucket of salt it kills instantly. Good Hunting.

When I was small, the neighbors behind us were into raising iris and didn't want to use pesticides. They had a pr. of mallard ducks that ate all of the snails. If you live where you can't or don't want any living creatures, place a few pie tins around in the flower beds and sacrifice one of your beers from that six-pack. Check it out in the morning. It really works! Good luck.

I know!
Put some beer in a little saucer around the base of plants. The snails slide up, drink up, wither up and die. I learned it from my mom. She found this was the most effective way to deal with snails and NOT hurt the pets with poison pellets.

Put out some open topped containers half filled with beer.
They love the stuff but then can't get out and drown.

For snails and slugs, you can use the slug death powder purchased at any hardware store, or simply spread some cheap laundry detergent. It'll stop them.

Oh yes, we had this problem, big time. Here's your answer.
Pick them all up at dusk, because thats when they come sauntering out. Put them in a bucket and throw them over next doors fence.
Job done!!
