I went to the Dr for my monthly diet pills and he came in the room and told me he would not be able to prescribe them this month b/c my pg test came back positive. However, a couple of days after this, I started my period and its really heavy. Im really confused now. Has anything like this ever happened to anyone? Ive had 2 other pregnancies and this did not happen.

You are either miscarrying or the bleeding is a threatened miscarriage. You need to see a gyn or go to the ER and have an ultrasound done to find out what is going on.

I agree with slaughter114 and disagree with the "top contributor!" Don't become alarmed. Make an appointment with your dr or obgyn again. In the meantime, take an at home pregnancy test and see what it says. It is possible to have you period while being pregnant. With both of my pregnancies, I had my periods for at least 2 months. My first one was 2 months and my second one was 3 months (I was 4 months pregnant when I finally missed a period) and I wasn't hemorraging or having a miscarriage.

Yes, you can have a period while pregnant, but you might want to go back to the dr., depending on how heavy the period was and if you are in any pain. 1)There is the chance of a miscarriage and 2) there is a chance the test was wrong. It doesn't happen often, but it is a possibility. You might try taking an at-home test.

I think you should go to the emergency room. But I am a rather be save than sorry kinda gal. If this pregnancy is someing that you want you should go. I think that it is more likley that you are miscarrying than having a period while pregnant. I hope everything turns out ok!

I'd go buy a test at the store. Maybe you were pregnant, maybe you weren't - it doesn't seem like you are pregnant now. You generally don't get a heavy period when pregnant.

However, I am not your dr. Go buy that test.

Sounds like you may have been and lost the baby. My sister just had a miscarriage. I would go for a follow up visit soon or tell your doctor.
