good for you! I'm jealous. That's cool that you got at least 2 or 3 lives out of your car and didn't have to be a slave to the man by getting sucked into a rediculous car loan.

My high milage is about to roll over to 140,000 any day now. Just got a new alternator - and transmission rebuilt twice. I have a chevy S-10. What do you have and what have you had to do to keep it going that long?

I have a 2000 Ford E-150 cargo van that i bought new. It has a 5.4 V-8,AOD trans. I currently have 509,227 miles on it. The only thing ever done to it was an alternator replacement, and I replaced the right side cat converter 2 times, the third time it gave me trouble,we removed them both, punched them out and reinstalled them. Oil chanced every 3 thousand miles, tranny flush and filter every 60 thousand. Thanks Rob in PA.
