I do not do basal body temps, becuase I am irregular and it only shows after you have ovulated. Also I found it frustrating,as I still had high temps and got my period. I am not stressed out about if I am ovulating just wanted others perspective.

Don't listen to these rude answers. That's what Yahoo! Answers is for. They shouldn't answer the question if they feel that way. Yes you are most likely ovulating. I know this is gonna be a little gross or too much information but I like to share my tips. It's best to stick your finger in there and get a sample. The cervical mucous goes through three stages when you're ovulating and the most accurate way to check the stage it's in is to rely on a sample closest to your cervix. The cervical mucous is there to carry the sperm up into your tubes where the egg is . The cerivical mucous provides a very nourishing environment for the sperm. When your approaching ovulation (the first stage) the cervical mucous is clear and slippery. When your ovulating good and the most fertile (the second stage) the cervical mucous gets thicker and whiter(like egg white). Sometimes you can even stretch the cervical mucous between two fingers when you're at your most fertile(but it doesn't always do that). When your ovulation is ending (the third stage), the cervical mucous begins to dry up and you become infertile once it drys up. These stages usually happen over about three days. The first day is clear and slippery. The second day is thick and white. The third day is when it starts to dry up. Sorry so long. Hope this helps.

Ovulation is whilst an ovary releases an egg. The egg enters the fallopian tube, the place it maintains to be for approximately 24 hours. we are saying that a female is ovulating in this time; that's the era whilst it truly is available for her to become pregnant. If there is sperm interior the fallopian tube, it may fertilize the egg. it truly is noted as theory. The fertilized egg then travels down the fallopian tube and embeds itself into the lining of the uterus. as quickly because it attaches right here, a female is seen pregnant, nevertheless maximum tests will nevertheless take yet another couple of weeks to bump into the being pregnant. If the egg isn't fertilized, it passes out of the physique interior the path of the vagina. approximately 2 weeks later, the uterus sheds the lining that it had arranged for the egg; that's what a era is.

Hey Stephanie,

You might be. Some people say that monitoring your cervical mucus is the single most reliable way to determine ovulation. I've also noticed that in addition to the egg white mucus, I had some dull pain in my lower abdomen/just above pubic bone, around my ovulation. Pay attention for that stuff, too.

Good luck!

Doesn't sound so "stress free" to me. Afterall, here you are obsessing about your mucous and asking us if you're ovulating. It's perfectly "natural" to monitor your basal temperature each morning. Go online and get a chart. Take your temp. every morning before you get out of bed. Mark it on the chart. When you see a slight spike in your temperature, do the deed with your partner. Good luck.

Eggwhite mucus is considered a secondary sign of fertility so most likely you are ovulating. But to know for sure you need to chart your basal body temps.

What you are doing is trying to do the "natural" thing without the work of really understanding your cycle. Go on line or buy a book.

By the time you read this answer, if you had been ovulating, you would be done by now.

I suspect you are failing at "stress free."

What is unnatural about a morning temperature chart to determine ovulation? It would seem better than asking us..
