number one- because they have small mouths
number two- because they do start on solids before they are one yr of age. if you keep giving the baby milk from a bottle, the teeth might get decayed or become buck teeth like.
And yes they are still infants until about age one, when they are grown more and can start walking, crawling, etc..

I know you've probably gotten the same answers from others, but I'm going to chime in anyway!
1) Baby spoons are recommended though not required since they're small enough to fully fit in the baby's mouth. Babies will be only on breast or bottle until about 4-6 months, when they start to eat baby food. Being able to put the whole spoon in their mouth really cuts down on the mess, plus they can play around with them to help them learn how to use them.
2) Babies are toddlers when they turn one, though techinically they're still more baby than toddler. They're just no longer infants.
3) Yes, see #2.
If you have other questions, I highly recommend checking out the book 'What to Expect in the First Year'. It helped me sooo much!

You need an infant spoon for when you start feeding cereal and then jar food which can be from 4-6 months old. And yes they are still infants then, they aren't toddlers till they are over one. And the infant spoons are small and soft, you don't want to try to feed a baby with an adult sized metal spoon.

Your baby will be bottle or breast fed till about four months some introduce cereal sooner. Obviously a regular spoon is to big for a four month old and infant spoons are usually coated in soft rubber or are plastic. they are toddlers when they are about 1 1/2 to 2. Yes they are still infants when you introduce baby food

You will be surprised how fast time goes by with a newborn -- pretty soon your baby will be eating from utensils and drinking from a cup. Babies typically start solids between 4-6 months, we started at five and a half months, and I can't tell you how quickly that came up. A baby is still considered a baby when introducing solids, they move up to toddler stage between 1 and 2, once they're walking and "toddling" about.
My advice, when registering, try to keep in mind that your baby will only use his baby things for a short time before moving on to the next stage of items, which also cost a small fortune. So, in addition to the truly baby stuff you need, try adding some things for the future. Feeding utensils, sippy cups, bibs , clothes, toys for an older baby, etc.

Usually at about 3-4 months you start a baby on infant cereal. You will need the spoon because a normal spoon is much too large for their mouth. They are considered a toddler after their first birthday . (They toddle or start walking) They are considered an infant for the first year.

Around 4-6 months you will begin feeding rice cereal and/or fruits and they need the smaller spoons.
They will be toddlers for quite some time.
I recommend picking up a book like What to Expect the First Year.

babys start on solids around 6 months, so they need a smaller spoon then an adult. They are cheap, so register if you want but its better to just pick some up when you need them.
A infant is considered a toddler when they start walking/running with confidence, usually after 1 yr old. My son was an early walker, so he was a toddler before his time!!!

When you start solids at 6 months, the baby's mouth will still be too small for a regular spoon.
The toddler stage starts at 1 year.

toddlers start at age 1.
infant spoons are softer because they have no teeth and your gonna start feeding baby with cereal around 4 months. even though they still drink from a bottle, your gonna need solid food to fill them up.

infants need infant spoons when they start eating solids...u can start introducing them baby cereal around 4 to 5 months..and then baby food when they are 6 months..so you need to use a infant spoon for they wont hurt their mouth because the infant spoon protects the mouth when they bite down on it.
