I was wondering if it is possible to mix RAM? like i have two DDR4 chips in my computer and I am buying two more DDR2 chips. will it still work?

I would recommend consulting the specification sheet for your system's motherboard. It will tell you what memory type it supports. Trying to use memory that it doesn't support could damage the motherboard. Each of the memory types have specific uses and configurations, for example, DDR is 184 pin, DDR2 is 240 pin thus if the motherboard supports DDR, you won't be able to install DDR2 because the pins are different and won't match up to those in the memory grooves of the motherboard.

Everything I see on the web states that DDR4 is only being tested at the moment in various mainline graphics cards, there is nothing stated about production of system memory using DDR4 at the moment. I found one page that says that the earliest anticipation of system memory being configured with DDR4 chips is expected around the year 2011, but of course this can change at a moments notice.

When dealing with ddr ram memory modules do not mix them. DDR is DDR and DDR2 is DDR2. Since you say you have a system with new memory do not mix it under no circumstances because it can cause major hardware failure. Most likely it will not even boot. DDR4 is realtive new i would not buy any but what the mobo is calling for. you could fry your whole system.

Probably not, since DDR4 is completely different from DDR2 memory. I have only used DDR and DDR2, but I know that they are not compatible with each other so I wouldn't think DDR4 and DDR2 would be compatible either.

the themes could have is while restarting the computing device the psu maintains to run without exhibit, errors in interpreting the ram on account that they are distinctive, some situations no startup,Bsod exhibit ,no actual injury to the computing device in case you positioned the spectacular ram into slots

mixing different kinds of memory or Ram is not recommended... putting with not same Ram will shortage your motherboard and cpu's life...just follow your motherboard peripherals to avoid confusion... others are mixing Ram thinking that it will increase the memory of their machines but it's too bad for their expectation.... put RAM w/ same brand to avoid incompatibility...
