A friend of mine's mother got pregnant when her father had been fixed, but I don't know anyone else anything like that has happened to.

Well hello mother Mary, j/k. It happens sometimes. I saw a Maury Povich show with a similar situation. The husband knew his wife was cheating because he had a vasectomy but low and behold the paternity test proved the baby was his. I haven't heard anything as far as a woman with her tubes tied but I doubt its full proof either. I guess God thought you needed this baby for some reason. Congratulations!!

That's not very likely. I hate to ask, but have you been with anyone besides your husband? Pregnancy test don't generally give false positives unless you got a faulty test, are on fertility drugs, or have a certain type of bladder cancer, I heard that can cause false positives too. Have you been to the doctor to confirm this pregnancy?

I have a friend who got pregnant after she had had the operation to "fix" that. Her operation was a long time ago. Now the operation is more successful.

its not very likely, but both have about a 1% failure rate. Don't worry about it much!!!
