They are fictional characters in movies. I read someone liked the name Armageddon for their child..OMG!!
And Chewie sounds like a dog name.

Yes you are crazy. That would be a good name for a dog who doesn't have to grow up with his/her peers through a difficult competitive time. What would the high school period look like. Will he/she become successful in business or a profession? Don't let your self involvement have detrimental influence on your child!!

Naming a child "Chewbacca" would be terrible for any child. When I hear the name, I think of the hairy character from the movie "Star Wars".
You certainly wouldn't want people referring to your child as a hairy creature when they speak of him or her. Please spare your future child of this.
Having a nickname for your child, would be fine.

Yes. Name him Jesús and call him Chuy. That's my name and that's about as close as you can get to Chewbacca without your kid hating you with an undying passion. If you really want his last name could be Baca--Chuy Baca.

That's punishment for your child forever. Your child would hate you. Why not the name Padme, Amadala or Leia for a girl? That would be much better and still keeps with your Star Wars theme you seem to be going for.

some people desire their toddlers to have names that mirror their unique guy or woman nature. some loopy names are family individuals names. additionally, loopy is interior the attention of the beholder; what's well-known in Xian is loopy/complicated to pronounce in San Jose.
