Is anybody else sick of people saying Team X Nation when talking about fans?

Yes, it's gotten way out of hand. I know that "Red Sox Nation" has been around for a long time, but it makes me want to scream every time I hear someone talk about it using that term. What happened to just being a fan? I find this need to be part of a "nation" more than a little creepy.

I could probably live with it if it was just the Sox, but it's becoming prevalent and infecting every sport.
