The book What to Expect When You're Expecting has a great pregnancy diet with good recipes.
Here are some good ones online:

http://www.healthcastle.com/pregnancy-diet.shtml
There's also a good book called The Pregnancy Diet on Amazon.

I think it's all common sense. We all know what foods are healthy for us even if we're not pregnant. Green veggies, calcium, and plenty of water is a good start. Try to avoid a lot of processed foods. Make things homemade and from scratch if possible. If anyone eliminates boxed meals they are going to lose weight and be healthier. It's a win-win situation.

The 'what to expect when you're expecting' book is awesome! It has lots of food ideas, and I think they have a book all about the pregnancy diet that they have.
Those pages in my book are the most worn down.

Follow the RDA guidelines and add 300 calories to it. That is all the calories your body really needs to sustain a healthy pregnancy. Don't consume empty calories or unrefined sugars. I am a certified nutritionist.

You want to drink lots of milk and eat bananas to keep the baby strong and don't forget to take your pre-natal pills. Never say your eating for two just eat enough to satisfy you.

Often times just knowing that you are pregnant will encourage you to eat better. I would try one of the recommended books, or websites.

Dr. Brewer has a really great one. I think it's called the Brewer diet. It's the one my midwife goes by.
