We've known each other for three years and have been married for two and a half years. I've given him pens (he loves nice pens), clothes (he likes to wear name brand products), and shoes (he's a jogger and loves nice durable shoes) for just about every birthday. I want to try something different but I'm strapped for money at the moment so I only have seventy dollars to spend.If this helps, he's an older male in his forties.

hmmm, ya just gotta get a little creative. hard to make suggestions w/out knowing much about him, but here's a couple.
-if you have a friend you're comfortable around, you put on some sexy lingerie and have them take some "provocative" snapshots of you and maybe frame the best one or make a collage.
-make him king for the day. don't allow him to lift a finger. cook him some good comfort foods, feed him, undress him when he comes in, give him a bath, a nice erotic massage, etc. make it as romantic and sensual as possible.
you don't necessarily have to buy anything.

At the age of 40, he had pretty much everything that he needs. If you want to do something special for him, make a sexy video of yourself, or go get some pictures of yourself taken and put into a nice frame for him to take to work.
A birthday is just another day for most men, and they could care less about the gift, it is you and being with you (their loved ones), that bring them the most joy.
If making a video for him, present it to him on his birthday night while the two of you are together, this is very sexy and he will remember it far longer than any pen or shoes you will ever buy him.

How about a nice card with dinner then you two go home after a movie and you put on some lingerie and go from there, ie. massage, strip tease. You don't always have to flood him with gifts that cost money. Or Maybe something for his car if he's a motor head. They always like when women show interest in their likes. Membership to the gym for the both of you, the ideas are endless!

I guess he wish a variety of digital image frames. you may put in your ultimate pictures of you and him and something that your husband likes. some image frames have a digital recorder in them, so as which you would be able to deliver a particular messages. i'm hoping this theory works for you. Sorry that he won't have the ability to be domicile with you for his birthday.

Just do something special for him that he really likes. What are his hobbies? Maybe you could get him something that he could use for one of his favorite hobbies that isn't expensive but something he needs. Maybe you could plan a romatic evening, make him his favorite dinner, give him a massage, seduce him. Most husbands love for their wives to take control and seduce them. A good meal and a good seduction is inexpensive and it is something your husband will really enjoy. He will be happy for weeks!
