possible problems:
1. check your disk space.
2. virus along with downloaded games
3. virtual memory of your pc is getting low (though your pc must prompt you)
possible solutions:
1. run a disk clean (find this in the Utilities from the START prompt) to remove unwanted files, check your recycle bin also and delete the contents if there are any.
2. defrag (utilities also) your hard disk, because of your downloads, files are scattered and go crazy.
3. run your anti-virus
I wish that your disk has partitions. if so, then transfer all your downloaded files from C to E. Remove also from your desktop the icons and the files and transfer them to E to lighten the load of C and making it faster.
* otherwise, the games you downloaded are not that suited for your RAM memory.

Arovax Shield™ is a brand new type of personal security solution that is unlike to any firewall, anti-virus or spyware remover.
Rather than looking for spyware traces or tracking applications that secretly send or receive data over the Internet, Arovax Shield blocks any attempt by malicious software to add entries to the auto-start menu, change the registry, hijack or install itself into a browser or find any other way to stealthy get itself onto a PC.
Arovax Shield protects your IE and Firefox from unwanted extensions like odd toolbars or malicious browser helper objects and keeps your default home page settings secure. It pays particular attention to hosts file, system registry and other crucial areas of your PC which are most frequent targets of malware.
Arovax Shield discovers and blocks suspicious activities. After this it acts depending on your preferences: notifies you letting you make the final decision or automatically defines if the activity is actually harmful to your computer.
How does Arovax Shield work?
Arovax Shield's main function is to monitor all important branches of the Windows registry. If any attempts to write/delete/change are made, it notifies the user immediately and shows what program aroused suspicions and what actions it wanted to do. Arovax Shield gives the user an ability either to allow or block this attempt explaining what exactly is trying to infiltrate the system.

CLEAR OFF YOUR HARD DRIVE OFF THINGS U DONT WANT!
ALSO USE LIMITED AMOUNT OF SOFTWARES!
hope that helps?
DONT PLAY GAMES THAT REQUIRE MORE RAM OR GRAPHICS .THAT IS A MAIN CAUSE!

Pour a can of Red Bull into the back of your computer. Since it was running fast yesterday it is probably low on energy. This should help give it a boost.

I would first restart your computer, then if it is still the same speed try defragmenting the hard disks ( if you are running windows xp go to all programs, accessories then system tools, then disk defragmenter. If it is still slow un-install the games you installed then see if it is still slow...

Try uninstalling the games and see if it makes a difference.
Check the minimum requirements (Video & System RAM, CPU Speed, available space on hard drive, etc.) for the games and verify your machine is up to their needs.
Good luck.

Check your computer for Temp. files. they can slow your computer majorly. They mainly come from web pages, and whatnot. If you have deleted somethings from files, you might have to defragment your computer too, to get rid of the empty spaces. Hope i helped!

LOL.....that is your problem, then.....
My husband had to add this new video card system to our computer just to run his game, and now even the internet runs slower for us.
Thanks, hubby......but I don't mind, he spends a lot of time playing his video games, I love it when he is happy......
