It's very uncommon for a head-first baby to turn breech in the last weeks of pregnancy.
Only 3 percent of babies are in the breech position at birth. And even if your baby does turn breech again, about 75 percent of all pregnant women meet the criteria for a vaginal breech delivery - so MOST women do not need a c-section.

Although it is unlikely, it is none the less, possible. Recently this happened to my co-worker. Baby was head down but literally turned right before she went into labor. A couple days before her water broke, she slipped but did not fall on her tummy, doctors were unsure if the fall was related to the baby turning at the last minute.
She had a c-section and mom and baby are healthy and happy!
Anything can happen, but if you are following doctors orders and are getting your scheduled check-ups, 9 times out of 10 everything will go as planned!

Babies can keep turning up until the day they are born, but chances are that if your baby is in the right position now it will stay that way. Sometimes babies will be breech till you are already in the hospital for delivery and they fill flip in time. You just never know with them.

It happened to me with my first ~and~ second child. The doctor told me that sometimes the baby knows whats best for for him/her. that made me feel better. But every thing was fine for all of us. You'll be ok.
