not all rap is crap. i think you are right that a lot of rap artist NOW are putting out songs that only talk about "hos" and "in da hood" but honestly that's not how rap started and that's not what it is all about. i am pretty upset that the majority of rap music has taken a bad turn and has become repetitive and less insightful but in the beginning it was really good and was way more than what it is today. hopefully they can get back to that. and there are rappers that don't focus on those things. you should check out Lupe Fiasco and Kanye West. they don't talk about hos and growing up in the hood. not every rap song is the same. and the stuff that they do play on mainstream radio does not give rap music justice and does put out a bad name for something that once was truly amazing and inventive. and yea i agree with the other guy, just because you don't like something doesn't mean it is crap. it just means that you don't like it. dig deeper into rap music and you just might find something that is real and something that you like. the majority of the rap on the radio isn't it trust me...

It depends on who you are listening to. There are some really good rap artists out there that don't just rap about hoes, money and the "hood" as you say. There are some that do. Rap/Hip hop is a genre and culture in itself just like country or rock. Don't listen to it then, you don't have to. Look how succesful these "rap"artists are becoming. example Jay-Z, 50 Cent. 50 Cent just made 200 million off of vitamin water! Jay Z invented "Jay-Z blue" which is a color on cars. Besides that some do community service and give back to the "hood", example T.I. gave Christams presents to the needy. There is good in rap and bad. Some rappers are weak and only rap about that stuff thats why they don't make it long.

I don't think ur being fair...sure alot of the songs talk about girls and up in the hood, but there are other topics too including death, love, motivational songs, cars, family, its all there. i agree w/ u that many of the popular rap songs are about the topics u stated but its mainly more about the catchy melody then it is about the song...rap has its good and its bad, and it has its own voice just all music, there's rap out there for every kind of person that can possibly appeal to u, u just have to dig hard enough. I am a firm believer that the human ear can enjoy many different music genre's but just like our diversity as human beings music is diverse and we just have to find that certain type that appeals to us

Do human beings truly believe that the President makes the recommendations? he's totally the front-guy, he has a militia of "advisers" who tell HIM what to do. As in any democracy, the potential chief and his/her party will inform you what you go with to take heed to then as quickly as in ability do as they darn properly please. In a capitalistic society politics isn't approximately doing what's powerful for the individuals, it truly is approximately increasing wealth and increasing the international locations ability and that they don't care the way it truly is done. Now which you're going on the socialist path don't be fooled. funds heavily isn't spent on transforming into a "fairer" united states it is going to easily be shifted around to make it seem that way. it is going to seem that way interior the fast term yet interior the long term you will understand the yankee human beings have been properly and actually shafted. .

rap really has taken a bad turn. it wasn't that way 10 years ago. (if you can remember back then) right now, i agree with you. rap has no direction and no message. it has become just another cash cowf or record labels. every idiot thinks he can rap so he's spending money on demos and selling his soul to a record label (if he gets lucky). well, at least the kids have good role models.

Yeah, just what I want my girls to grow up listening to. I mean, how demeaning to women, and they sure are the best role models for our kids, what with all the drug trafficking, casual sexual encounters, and wanton violence. I can honestly say I've never really been hooked on it.

Nope, for both.

In 2006, it seemed that way. I can't say that every single rap song for 2007 is all the same...oh, wait, maybe..hmm.

But regardless of the rap lyrics, people still do like rap and you shouldn't trash their interests because of something you don't like.
