I'm betting you've never been in a warehouse during a monsoon, deafening! I know you're talking about the gentle pitter patter of a spring shower, other things I like to hear: a breeze coming through a stand of Aspens in the Sierras; a baby laughing; a lone mockingbird singing to the morning sun; that little yummy moan as you touch her special place; the crackle pop of a cold can of beer on a hot summer afternoon; that special tone in your grandson's voice as he sees you and cries "Papa!"; that deep thud of the burglar hitting the ground after you popped a cap in his ***; the zing of a hard hit reel while deep sea fishing; the sizzle pop of cold bacon hitting a hot pan when camping... just to name a few.

Doesn't make me sleepy, but it helps me sleep if I'm already sleepy. Unless it is a tremendous rainfall, then it kinda scares me a little.

Yupp, I love it when I go camping and it just pours. I go in a truck camper, and I sleep in the highest spot, right under the roof :).Thunder and lightening helps as well :)

Yes as a matter of a fact It does and on any type of roof.
I'm fixin' to lay down and take a nap which I hardly ever do. =)
