Does anyone know if the company i work for are breaking the law. Reason why is that they have us sign sheets which are for expences but we do not get expences.It shows it on our wage slips as expences. We feel we are frauding the tax office. the company say's it is a loop hole in the system. Can anyone sshed any light on this.

As long as you are not paying tax on expenses in which case you should demand 25% back..Its okay for them to pay via payroll as that is how all payments to an employee is usually done..but you should check that the tax you pay is only for income and not expenses...

Hmmm. Not enough info. Are you sales? Company car? Are they paying your out-of-pocket expenses? Are you turning in receipts? Just not enough info for me to make a call on this one. Also, I don't guess, as some people do. Solid answers, based on solid information.

Bad news: Calling something a reimbursement when it is not is strictly illegal.

Worse news: you're the one that's going to go to jail or pay penalties, because you're the one not paying the taxes.

Report it to the tax agency. You may be due for a reward (check that first!). ~

maybe you should report it so that you don't get done for it when they're caught. if it is nothing then no harm done. Your name will be kept confidential. not sure who you would talk to tho. go to your local councillor and ask him about it. its his job to help you about matters like these and he'll advise you.
